SMA
SMA+GF alloy is a kind of engineering plastic with excellent performance, which has the characteristics of high heat resistance, high modulus, good processing performance, good long-term aging performance, good chemical resistance, dimensional stability and low odor, and is widely used in automotive dashboards and other components.
PMMA/ABS
PMMA/ABS alloy has the characteristics of ultra-high gloss, high surface hardness, good scratch resistance, excellent weather resistance, etc., so as to achieve the purpose of spray coating-free, the product is environmentally friendly, and the harmony between man and nature is realized. Taking into account the actual needs of customers, Kumho-sunny's high-quality HAM series has better fluidity and a more beautiful surface, of which, the HAM Black series has unparalleled blackness, realizing the perfect combination of function and aesthetics. The products are widely used in the shells and front decorative frames of household appliances such as large computer monitors, LCD TVs, and speakers. ABS has excellent comprehensive performance and is widely used in automobiles, home appliances, office supplies, toys, etc. However, the characteristics of low surface hardness, poor weather resistance and opacity limit the widespread use of ABS in some fields. For example, the concept of environmental protection design is becoming more and more popular, and some products with higher requirements on appearance, such as high-end washing machine panels and LCD TV casings, have higher requirements on the scratch resistance of the base material because the spraying process is omitted. Pencil hardness is usually required to be above the F level, and a single ABS resin is usually not competent. PMMA is a brittle material, and even the impact-modified commercial PMMA has only 3-5KJ/m2 notched impact strength, which is difficult to meet the toughness requirements of most molded products. Blending modification is one of the main ways to improve material properties, just as PC/ABS blends can be widely used. PMMA/ABS has the comprehensive properties of scratch resistance, light resistance, high gloss, impact improvement and easy processing, and can obtain transparency through reasonable design, and its dyed products are favored because of their unique visual effects. As early as 2004, Shanghai Kumho-sunny cooperated with several domestic home appliance suppliers to develop scratch-resistant, spray coating-free high-gloss PMMA/ABS materials, and designed transparent, ultra-high flow and other high-performance PMMA/ABS series products, which were successful used in electronic and electrical housings and panel materials, etc. With the design of large-size, thin-walled and light-weight LCD products, PMMA/ABS alloy has gradually demonstrated the incomparable advantages of traditional high-gloss ABS and PC/ABS. Under the market orientation of pursuing aesthetics, PMMA/ABS has obtained the best opportunity for promotion and application.

PA/ABS
PA/ABS alloy is an amorphous/semi-crystalline system, the addition of ABS improves the water absorption and notch toughness of PA, while the addition of PA improves the chemical resistance, heat resistance and fatigue resistance of ABS. As we all know, PC/ABS is the most widely used and deeply researched ABS alloy, and one of the most important alloy products of ABS. At present, PC/ABS materials are used for automotive interior materials, especially the peripheral products of automotive dashboards. In contrast, PA/ABS alloys bring unparalleled performance and appearance advantages to automotive interior parts with their unique charm. (1) PA/ABS material can bring a soft matte effect on the surface, which is not available in other materials. For automotive interior materials, on the premise of satisfying the basic mechanical properties and thermal properties required by the components, they are generally required to have a matte function to help reduce the driver's visual fatigue, thereby improving driving safety. At present, ordinary materials need to be treated by spraying matte paint or adding matte agents to modify the materials before they can meet the requirements of interiors. Although PC/ABS can reduce gloss by adding a matte agent, there is still the defect of uneven gloss distribution. The unique matte properties of PA/ABS materials can avoid these problems very well. (2) The heat resistance of PA/ABS material is no less than that of PC/ABS material. Especially in the case of low load (1kg), its heat resistance is better than that of PC/ABS material. The Vicat softening temperature of PA/ABS can reach 180℃ (A/50), which is unmatched by PC/ABS materials. (3) The density of the PA/ABS material can also be reduced by as much as 6%, thus effectively reducing the cost. The relative density of PC/ABS materials is relatively high, generally in the range of 1.13-1.15, while the density of PA/ABS is 1.07-1.08, which is commensurate with heat-resistant ABS materials. (4) The product fluidity of PA/ABS is very good, it has better processability than other materials, and the processing window is wider.

High-gloss halogen-free flame-retardant PC/ABS implementation: 1. Improve the fluidity of the substrate 2. Control the rubber particle size in the ABS 3. Prefer anti-drip agents 4. Improve the thermal stability of the material. 5. Select the appropriate process. Scratch-resistant halogen-free flame retardant PC/ABS performance improvement plan: A. Improve the hardness of the material itself B. Reduce the friction coefficient of the surface of the product, so that the surface of the product is not easy to be scratched. Flame retardant PC/ABS, used in computer monitor casings, copiers, printers, mobile phone casings, etc, and the corresponding grades include: HAC8200FR, HAC8250FR, HAC8250FR-H, HAC8265FR, HAC8250NH, HAC8250NH(M), HAC8250NH(H), HAC8251NH, and HAC8290NH.
Enhanced PC/ABS
Enhanced PC/ABS is mainly used in automotive parts, power tool housings and high dimensional stability parts, and the corresponding grades include HAC8250TC, HAC5010G, HAC5020G, and HAC5030G. The additive amount of glass fiber commonly used in the market to enhance PC/ABS is mostly below 30%, because adding too much glass fiber will cause a serious decrease in the surface gloss of the material, often manifested as exposed glass fiber. <1> Effect on tensile/flexural properties. With the increase of glass fiber content, the strength increases slowly, and the modulus increases obviously. <2> Influence of impact performance. Additive amount of 5% glass fiber makes the impact strength drop greatly, after that, the impact change is no longer obvious. <3> Influence of heat resistance. Glass fiber has limited impact on heat resistance, which is a major feature of amorphous materials. In addition, after adding glass fiber, the shrinkage rate of the material is reduced, and it is basically stable at 0.1%-0.3% after adding 20% glass fiber. After adding glass fiber, the surface gloss of the material will be seriously reduced. In order to improve the appearance, the methods often used including: adding additives, such as brightener, improving the flow of the material, selecting ultra-fine glass fiber, first making glass fiber master-batch and then secondary processing, etc.
PC/ABS for mobile phone
PC/ABS for mobile phones is specially used for mobile phone shells, so that the mobile phone shells have excellent texture and bright colors, and the corresponding grades include HAC8260H, HAC8265H, and HAC8270HF.
Matte PC/ABS
With the introduction of the automotive ELV ordinance, there is a demand for more thermoplastic materials that can be directly recycled without the need for a process of discrete thermoset paint films. Therefore, matte PC/ABS has become a hot spot in the market. Matte PC/ABS, mainly used for spray coating-free auto parts, and the corresponding grades include HAC8250Z, and HAC8260Z. In order to achieve a good matte effect, it is necessary to first understand the principle of extinction. The reduction of the surface gloss of the material can be achieved by the incompatibility of the two substances or the principle of polymer cross-linking. When the polymer alloy added with the matting agent is injected into a product, the incompatibility of the material itself or the microencapsulation effect caused by chemical cross-linking will form a micro-roughness (concave-convex) effect on the surface of the material. When the incident light reaches the micro-rough surface, the reflection direction of the light changes, and diffuse reflection occurs, resulting in a low-gloss appearance and the purpose of extinction.
